Tyler was born, raised, and spent the majority of his life in Detroit, MI.  Since becoming a Christian at 19, he has felt compelled to serve his city.  He has served in a myriad of ministry capacities including, prison and homeless chaplaincy, youth pastor, mentor for at-risk children and youth, preacher, and Bible teacher.  From 2015-16, he served as a pastor/church planting resident at Restore Church in Central Detroit, MI.  On October 16th, 2016, he officially launched Cornerstone Church - Detroit on Detroit’s West Side.


He married his best friend Elita in 2004 and they have five wonderful children; Elisabeth, Philip, Sarah, Tabitha and Abigail.

Aaron and his wife Amanda have three children and are both natives of the downriver area, growing up in Riverview. Returning to his roots, he has been serving at First Presbyterian of Trenton since 2005. His ministry experience includes serving in positions such as pastor and youth director. He has also served as a history and Bible teacher for a Christian school which allowed him to pursue his other passion, coaching. His other ministry experience includes discipling inmates in prisons & detention centers and outreach to the Homeless.


Aaron is currently the Lead Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Trenton, MI and the Michigan Regional Director for Acts 29.

Ellyse Henderson

Worship Arts Director

Ellyse  is a native Detroiter and a mother of three wonderful children. She accepted Christ at the age of 10 and continues to share her life experiences through music. She has connected and assisted with multiple churches in Detroit to help bridge the gap between cultures with Gospel & Contemporary Christian Music. 


Ellyse is a singer, songwriter, screenwriter, and graphic designer. She is the Founder and CEO of Twisted Heel Productions which focuses on producing simply good television. She attended Eastern Michigan University for 5 years, majoring in Electronic Media and a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2007, she was a radio intern for one of the best stations in Michigan, Clear Channel’s Channel 955 assisting with Daniel Beau doing traffic, weather, and the hot topics. In 2013, she teamed up with a Christian Radio station called BreathLiFe Radio based in CA, where she ran a show called “One Flesh” which reached over 2,000 global listeners. 


Ellyse continues to demonstrate her heart for the people as a motivational speaker and has conducted bible studies for Detroit, Michigan’s youth at Covenant House, Spectrum Juvenile Detention Center, and has written encouraging letters to incarcerated women in the Huron Valley Women Correctional facility. She gladly enjoys being a vessel for the Lord and helping to steer the upcoming generation in the right direction.

Enoch Young

Enoch and  and his wife, Jessica, began as friends in high school. They both came to Christ in 2010. Their family was established through Holy matrimony on November 12th 2011


Both Enoch and Jessica have been maturing and growing in the Lord. The Lord began filling their quiver with Jireh in May 2015, Jedidiah in June 2017, the twins,  Adino and Benaiah in December 2018, and currently awaiting the arrival of a baby girl in early April 2020.

Joshua ManninG

Joshua Manning, age 29, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been actively serving in ministry since 2015.


He is an Army Veteran, proud husband of Ashley-Alyssia and proud father of 4. 


Josh has a passion for urban ministry and is looking forward to eventually planting a church in Cleveland. 

Stephen Streeter

Stephen was born and raised in San Diego, California and came to know and love Detroit through his father, a Detroit native. 


He met his wife, Tanisha, who is also a Detroit native,  in Northern California in 2012. Together they moved to Detroit in 2015 and were married in 2016.  They have one son, Luka. 


He experienced the call to pastoral ministry in 2017. He currently serves on staff at Cornerstone doing administration and operations and is pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Knox Theological Seminary.
